Cam and Dursley Transportation Group started in March 2015 when a few interested residents, some involved in Transition Cam & Dursley, first met to discuss transportation issues. We have met regularly ever since. We take a broad view on transportation and have been discussing buses, trains, cycling, walking.... and even driving and parking!
We realise there is a lot of room for improvement in how we get around, and in/out of, our towns. We can't fix it all, but we think by starting small and staying local, we just might be able to improve a few things. Over the years, we have successfully lobbied for restoring local bus services that were cut and for getting an earlier northbound train from Cam & Dursley Railway Station in the mornings.
In 2019, CDTG became a member of the Association of Community Rail Partnerships (ACoRP) as a station adoption group for Cam & Dursley Railway Station. This enables us to network with other similar groups around the country. It also means that we are eligible for small grants (up to £1000) from ACoRP, to support small improvements to the station. You can read more about ACoRP here.
All are welcome to join us!
